Our journey began back in 2003, when Charterwells first started selling on eBay. At the time, eBay was our entire business, and we will always be grateful for the opportunities it gave us.
Fast forward 23 years, and the world of online shopping has changed beyond recognition! From dedicated ecommerce websites to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat, the way customers discover and purchase their favourite products has evolved enormously.
Throughout those years, Charterwells has grown into a trusted UK online retailer, specialising in Royal Crown Derby, fine bone china, collectable figurines, luxury gifts and collectable ceramics.
Despite that growth, we have never forgotten our humble beginnings or the important role eBay played in our story.
It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to stop selling on eBay with immediate effect.
Unfortunately, the increasing costs of business subscriptions, selling fees and advertising charges have made it increasingly difficult to justify continuing on the platform.
Is this goodbye forever?
Never say never! We may take some time to reflect on our decision, and perhaps one day Charterwells will return to eBay.
For now, though, our journey continues through our own website, where customers can still explore our extensive collections of beautiful ceramics, fine bone china and collectable gifts.
