🔹 Record-High Gold Prices – With gold prices reaching historic highs in 2025, the cost of gilding and fine detailing has risen significantly.

🔹 Energy Price Increases – The removal of the energy price cap has led to rising gas costs. Given that Royal Crown Derby pieces are fired at higher temperatures and more frequently than many manufacturers, this has had a direct effect on production expenses.

Despite these challenges, Royal Crown Derby remains committed to traditional handcrafting and decoration techniques, ensuring the unparalleled quality and individuality of each piece. While we continually review efficiency savings to mitigate rising costs, these adjustments are necessary to maintain our standards and support the development of new designs.
